Ok believe it or not I watch a lot of natural hair tutorials on youtube because I do take breaks from weave often and my real hair is natural… no chemicals.

I do like to watch a lot of natural hair tutorials because I like to learn different ways to maintain my real hair. Do I apply them? No.

For the last 20 years i have been a dancer. In my youth: dance, track, tennis… anything that involved sweat and a black girl becoming successful in my parents put me in!

So my mom did long lasting things for my hair so I wouldn’t go bald. I had braids. Took a while to find out that those ripped my hair out. Now i wear weave. I am a weave advocate. But, where the fuck are the tutorials for the active black girl that sweats immensely everyday. Bitch, i’m active and i like to submerge in water.

Not to mention everything you’re mixed with never applies in any other scenario except the one about your hair.

Who in the hell has all this beautiful shiny thick ass african hair. I don’t have that. two of my grandparents (on each side) are half white. and ones half white and japanese ( I KNOW) where is my thin black girl hair tutorial.

I think i’m going to make one.

I think i’m going to start doing videos. I hate my voice though.. it sounds better in my head.

"How far have you walked for men who’ve never held your feet in their laps? How often have you bartered with bone, only to sell yourself short? Why do you find the unavailable so alluring? Where did it begin? What went wrong? And who made you feel so worthless?
If they wanted you, wouldn’t they have chosen you? All this time, you were begging for love silently, thinking they couldn’t hear you, but they smelt it on you. You must have known that they could taste the desperate on your skin. And what about the others that would do anything for you, why did you make them love you until you could not stand it? How are you both of these women, both flighty and needful? Where did you learn this, to want what does not want you? Where did you learn this, to leave those that want to stay?"
